Summary

We're looking for a proactive Safety Health and Environmental Manager to join our Highways team based in Norfolk. As a key member of our Norfolk Highways and Infrastructure Contract team, you'll ensure the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental performance across all operations, including our Wymondham Emulsion Factory. This nurturing role combines leadership with support, helping teams thrive while keeping everyone safe.



Location: Norfolk - travel to the office required with remote working available

Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.



What will you be responsible for?

As a SHE Manager, you'll be working within the Norfolk Highways team, supporting them in achieving exemplary safety, health and environmental standards.

Your day to day will include:

-Leading site inspections and audits to identify improvements and promote a culture of continuous learning

-Coaching and supporting operational teams to strengthen our safety culture

-Reviewing and approving safety documentation like risk assessments and method statements

-Managing our ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification systems

-Collaborating with design teams to ensure safe practices from project inception



What are we looking for?

This role of SHE Manager is great if you:

-Have a working knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001

-Have a proven working understanding of SHE legislation

-Member of IOSH

-Incident investigator training
