Summary

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the largest of Scotland’s seven Regional Transport Partnerships, established by the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005. As well as running the iconic Glasgow Subway, SPT delivers an extensive range of public transport services including bus stations and subsidised bus services, delivers projects directly and in partnership with others, and is responsible for preparation of the statutory Regional Transport Strategy for the west of Scotland.We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Projects team to work on a variety of projects/programmes within the Corporate Programme section. SPT is managing the process for developing a Strathclyde Regional Bus Strategy (SRBS) and leading the preparation of the Case for Investment (CFI) for Clyde Metro, among a wide range of other projects in support of the Regional Transport Strategy and Corporate Plan. About the RoleAs Project Manager, you will play a leading role in delivering a varied portfolio of projects, often progressing multiple workstreams simultaneously to ensure outcomes are achieved on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. The programme includes technology initiatives, strategic programmes, infrastructure improvements and wider organisational transformation, giving you the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and lasting change.You will oversee the full project lifecycle - from initial feasibility through to implementation - applying a consistent approach, maintaining clear visibility of progress and ensuring the effective delivery of prioritised outcomes for key stakeholders and the Senior Management Team. Working closely with the Interim Head of Corporate Programme Assurance, you will support strong project and programme governance, champion continuous improvement and help develop innovative tools and techniques that enhance delivery across the organisation. About youThe successful candidate will hold a degree in a related discipline, a recognised project management qualification, or be able to demonstrate equivalent project management experience. You will be a highly motivated individual with strong organisational and communication skills, and a proven ability to lead a diverse mix of projects. Experience of working within a technology-focused environment is desirable, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently is essential. You will also be flexible and adaptable, able to respond confidently to changing priorities, evolving requirements and a dynamic delivery environment.Full time hours will be 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. However, you may be required to undertake work outwith this norm to meet the responsibilities of the post.You will be based at 131 St Vincent Street, Glasgow.
