Summary

Location: Crowndale Centre
Hours: 36 hours per week
Start Date: 02/02/2026
Working Pattern: 07:00–15:15
Pay Rate: £22.91 per hour (PAYE) / £29.91 per hour (Umbrella)

The Role
The Multi Skilled Commercial Engineer will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical systems, with a strong commercial electrical bias. Working predominantly within schools and educational centres, you will ensure all plant, equipment, and systems operate safely and efficiently. The role includes installation work, fault‑finding, and the use of IT systems such as BMS platforms to diagnose and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake planned and reactive maintenance on commercial electrical systems.
Work on pumps, calorifiers, cold‑water service outlets, and associated plant.
Carry out installation of equipment and systems relevant to the role.
Use BMS and other IT systems to diagnose and resolve faults.
Provide a high level of customer service within schools and educational environments.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with compliance requirements.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Support the wider maintenance team as required.
Candidate Requirements
Strong commercial electrical background with multi‑skilled capability.
Experience working on commercial plant and building services systems.
Ability to diagnose faults using BMS and IT‑based systems.
Experience working in schools or educational settings is desirable.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to provide required compliance documentation.
