Summary
To provide, in collaboration with clinical colleagues, a comprehensive cardiothoracic service to patients from Coventry, Warwickshire and beyond. That all patient related activities are provided in an efficient manner and that the principles of risk management and clinical governance are maintained at all times. Ensure all patients on the ward are seen regularly, deciding on day-to-day clinical management. Participate in the ITU round ensuring that relevant treatments and investigations are communicated and carried out. Assist Consultants and Senior Specialist Registrars in the operating theatre and where appropriate, carrying out operations or parts thereof, as primary operator.
