Summary
Do you have a strong command of UK and international Electrical standards—particularly BS 7671, BS EN 12464, and BS 5266—and know how to apply them in real project environments?
The Opportunity
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take responsibility for producing and overseeing high?quality Electrical design deliverables within a single or multi?discipline EPC engineering environment. You will lead a team of engineers and designers, ensuring all outputs meet project scope, industry standards, and client expectations.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
- Deliver Electrical engineering and design packages in accordance with project scope and industry standards.
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers, ensuring high?quality outputs.
- Work closely with the Lead Engineer to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
- Coordinate Electrical design activities with other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in internal and external design reviews.
- Translate Scope of Work into clear, actionable deliverables and delegate effectively.
- Maintain full accountability for the technical accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all Electrical deliverables.
- Review and approve third?party Electrical engineering outputs.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Previous experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer in Engineering, EPCM, or EPC environments.
- Strong working knowledge of British and International Standards and Codes.
- Understanding of the full project lifecycle from concept through commissioning.
- Proficient with EC&I design tools such as Trimble ProDesign, AutoCAD, Revit, and Dialux.
- Demonstrated application of key standards including:
- BS 7671 – IET Wiring Regulations
- BS EN 12464 – Lighting of Workplaces
- BS 5266 – Emergency Lighting
- Ability to delegate effectively while remaining accountable for technical accuracy.
- Experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical environments (preferred).
- Strong capability in checking and approving Electrical deliverables such as:
- Load Schedules
- Single Line Diagrams
- Earthing Diagrams
- Block Cable Diagrams
- Cable Calculations
- Cable Routing Drawings
- Datasheets
- MEng / BEng / HNC / HND or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (preferred).
