What the school offers its staff
We can offer:
• The opportunity to work with an already established SEND team, providing support, training and advice.
• Caring, dedicated staff
• Exceptionally supportive parents and governors
• A commitment to your professional development
• An opportunity to be part of a thriving school community
• A stimulating working environment, both inside and out
• A vibrant, inclusive and exciting place to work.
Further details about the role
In September 2023 we opened a new Designated Provision for children who have Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and an associated Education, Health and Care Plan. This provision was extended to our second hub in September 2024; both complement our school SEND offer.
You will be working alongside an established team and will report to the Headteacher, and be supported by the Deputy Headteacher, SENCOs and the staff member who leads the other base. The Governors, staff and students are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated teacher to join our inclusive school. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team which is expanding the existing specialist provision within the school. The successful candidate will be working with students at EYFS, Key Stage 1 and at KS2 academic level.
Commitment to safeguarding
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment. Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance. The successful candidate will be subject to all necessary pre-employment checks, including: enhanced DBS; Prohibition check; Childcare Disqualification (where applicable); qualifications; medical fitness; identity and right to work. All applicants will be required to provide two suitable references. An online search will also be carried out as part of due diligence on all short-listed candidates.
