Salary: Grade E SCP 11 £28,142 - SCP 16 £30,518

Hours Per Week: 36 hours

Base Location: Ashton Old Library

The Role

Are you passionate about improving the lives of children, young people and families?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and dedicated Individual Placement Officer to join Tameside’s Brokerage and Monitoring Team.

The role involves working in a fast-paced environment seeking and responding to information, searching for packages for children and young people in a range of settings appropriate to their needs these include, foster care, residential children’s homes, semi-independent and supported accommodation.

The successful candidate will be working proactively with a range of partners and professionals both internally and externally.

About You

We are seeking someone who is passionate and dedicated about improving the live of children, young people and their families and who can work well within a well-established team.

You will have the following skills:

  • GCSE English Language and Mathematics (Grade A/C)
  • Experience of and ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Computerised information system
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keyboard skills
  • Numeracy Skills
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Organisational Skills
  • Good written and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and other agencies
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Software
  • The ability to converse at ease with service users/customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English
  • Understanding of Equal Opportunities policy
  • Understanding of anti-discrimination Practice
