We are currently seeking a Lead Officer to support the Council’s busy licensing service.
Key responsibilities will be dealing with a wide variety of statutory licensing and registration functions affecting businesses and other organisations throughout the borough. You will ensure complex licensing applications and enquiries are dealt with within the required deadlines, supporting both the Licensing Manager and the team to apply policies and legislation affecting the service area.
There will be opportunities to work in a hybrid (office/home) environment for the working week. We are based at our modern and newly configured offices in The Forum in Hemel Hempstead with staff parking available nearby.
This role would suit a licensing officer who wants to progress in their career and is looking for a varied and unpredictable workload in a supporting role. You should have good overall knowledge of a variety of licensing functions and be able to work well as part of a team, in addition to managing your own workload effectively.
Applicants must have a driving licence that is valid in the UK and use of a vehicle.
A basic check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate has no relevant convictions.
