We are looking for an organised and proactive MDT Coordinator to join our dedicated Skin Cancer team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our weekly Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings run smoothly, enabling clinicians to make informed decisions for patients on cancer pathways. You’ll be the central point of coordination—bringing together people, information, and processes to deliver timely, high-quality care.

What does it take?
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with clinicians, nurses, and administrative teams.
• A commitment to accuracy in data collection and compliance with national standards.

Why work with us?
Our team prides itself on being supportive, collaborative, and patient-focused. You’ll join a group that values teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.

What we offer:
• Opportunities for professional development, including training on cancer pathways and data systems.
• Involvement in service improvement projects.
• Flexible working options and NHS benefits.

If you’re passionate about making a tangible impact in cancer care and enjoy working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary setting, this is the team for you.

If you are considering applying for this post on a secondment basis, please discuss with your Line Manager prior to applying to ascertain whether this could be supported.

As an MDT Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting cancer pathways by organising and facilitating weekly Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, ensuring all clinical information is available for effective decision-making. You will manage patient data accurately, monitor progress against national cancer targets, and escalate delays promptly. Collaboration with clinicians, specialist nurses, and administrative teams is essential to maintain high standards of care.

Skills and Qualities We’re Looking For:
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
• Confidence in using IT systems (e.g., Somerset, PAS, ICE).

Examples of Typical Decisions You Will Make:
• Deciding how to prioritise preparation for MDT meetings when multiple cases require urgent review.
• Identifying missing clinical information and determining the most appropriate person or team to contact for resolution.
• Escalating potential breaches in cancer waiting time targets to the relevant manager or clinical lead in line with Trust policy.
