Summary
BBS Recruitment is an independent recruitment agency for the transport and logistics sector, supplying to a variety of clients across London, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. We also recruit for Social Care and Public Sector roles.
We are currently recruiting for a Care Assistant to work for our client based in Worcestershire County.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Care Assistant:
To assist and support people with personal care and physical tasks e.g. assistance with dressing, washing, bathing and with meals.
To report and record significant matters in the lives of people using the service in accordance with the department’s policy to Access to Records.
To maintain and update care plans and risk assessments with people using the service and senior staff on duty
To distribute/administer medication as instructed.
To attend and participate in staff meetings and supervisions
To participate in the normal domestic tasks connected with the daily routine of the service and the personal needs of the people using the service.
Social duties (e.g. talking and helping people using the service to maintain contact with family, friends and community).
Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm
Requirements for Care Assistant:
Care training certificates/ qualifications including Moving & Handling and Fire awareness
Enhanced DBS
Experience of working in a residential or community care setting with people with a disability
Experience with care planning
