Duties:
- Conduct vehicle diagnostics using technical literature and testing equipment
- Perform routine servicing, MOT inspections, and warranty repairs to manufacturer standards
- Identify vehicle faults accurately and recommend appropriate repairs
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and diagnostics performed
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear and professional explanations
- Upkeep of workshop tools and equipment, ensuring safety and operational standards
- Participate in manufacturer training to stay updated with technological advances and procedures
Candidate Specification:
- Recognised apprenticeship or relevant equivalent training
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in vehicle service and repair within a dealership environment
- Valid MOT tester certification
- Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and testing procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness
- Customer-focused approach and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
