Our client is a top-tier international law firm with a strong UK presence and a global network of offices. Known for its commitment to excellence and innovation, the firm is expanding its Regulatory Disputes team and is now seeking a talented Associate to join its highly regarded Bristol office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a market leader that advises major businesses across a wide range of regulated sectors.

Your new role You will be joining a dynamic and collaborative team that advises clients on complex regulatory compliance and investigations. The team acts across the full lifecycle of regulatory risk, from preventative compliance frameworks to internal investigations and enforcement proceedings.

Your focus will include:

  • Advising on Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), Failure to Prevent Fraud (FTPF), Modern Slavery, and Health & Safety compliance frameworks.
  • Supporting clients through investigations, regulator engagement, and enforcement processes.
  • Drafting policies, conducting risk assessments, and managing disclosure requests.
  • Preparing clients and witnesses for interviews and hearings, and coordinating with technical experts.

You will also have the opportunity to work on multi-jurisdictional matters and gain exposure to complementary areas such as healthcare regulation, product compliance, digital regulation, and environmental litigation.

What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified Solicitor with demonstrable experience in regulatory compliance and investigations. Ideally, you will have experience advising on regulatory frameworks, managing internal investigations, and engaging with regulators. Exposure to ABC, FTPF, Modern Slavery, and Health & Safety is highly desirable, but candidates with broader regulatory experience will also be considered.

You should have:

  • Strong analytical and drafting skills.
  • Excellent client-handling ability and commercial awareness.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to support work across complementary regulatory areas as business needs arise.

What you'll get in return You will have the opportunity to work for a market-leading international firm with a strong presence in Bristol and across the UK. The firm offers:

  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • A supportive and inclusive culture with clear career development pathways.
  • Access to high-quality, complex work for leading businesses across multiple sectors.
  • Flexible and hybrid working options to suit your lifestyle.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a regulatory disputes lawyer looking to take the next step in their career with a global market leader.
