Are you a Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer looking to work on technically challenging, high-value projects in specialist sectors like pharmaceuticals, biotech, and food & beverage?
This is an opportunity to join a well-established, client-focused Building Services Contractor with over 25 years of experience delivering bespoke M&E solutions on projects up to £15m. Known for their quality-first approach and in-house expertise, they offer a true end-to-end service - from concept design through to installation and long-term maintenance.
The Role
You'll take a leading role in the mechanical design and delivery of complex building services projects, with a strong focus on HVAC systems. Working alongside a highly skilled engineering team, you'll have real influence over design decisions and the technical direction of projects. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys combining hands-on design work with technical leadership and coordination.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and specifying mechanical building services systems, particularly HVAC
- Producing calculations and detailed designs using tools such as Hevacomp, Revit MEP, and AutoCAD
- Preparing technical specifications, drawings, and tender information
- Collaborating closely with architects, consultants, and other engineering disciplines
- Attending design meetings, site visits, and inspections
- Ensuring designs meet CIBSE standards, legislation, and industry best practice
What They're Looking For
- A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
- At least 5 years' experience in mechanical building services design
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems and relevant regulations
- Comfortable using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Hevacomp (or similar)
- Working towards or holding professional membership (CIBSE / IMechE) is an advantage
