Hours per week: 35 Hours per week, 9am - 5pm, 1 Hour Lunch

What will I be doing?

As a Payroll Clerk in our Head Office, you will work in a fast-paced, environment assisting with various Payroll admin tasks.

Checking the number of hours employees have worked.
Calculating wages and salaries.
Entering data into payroll software.
Collaborating with the human resources department to maintain employee data.
Calculating pay raises, holiday pay, shift payments and overtime compensation.
Issuing tax forms and related documentation, and assisting employees to complete them.
Resolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips and other payroll matters.
Changing employee bank records when necessary to process payments accurately.
Initiating direct deposits.
Accurately inputting employee data, hours, and changes (starters, leavers, pay changes) into payroll systems.

To successfully fill this role as Payroll Clerk, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

Attention to Detail & Accuracy: Critical for payroll.
Numerical & IT Skills: Experience and proficiency in payroll software, MS Office. This is essential for all applicants.
Communication: Clear verbal and written skills to interact with staff.
Organisation & Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of payroll regulations and data protection.
