Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Community Safety Officer to join a large social housing provider on a temporary contract until at least the end of March 2026, with a strong likelihood of extension.
This is a hybrid role, combining home working with regular community‑based and on‑site presence, supporting residents and neighbourhoods to feel safe, supported, and empowered.
Your new role
- Investigating and managing anti‑social behaviour cases in line with policy and legislation
- Engaging directly with residents to address community safety concerns
- Taking early intervention and preventative approaches to reduce escalation
- Working closely with partner agencies including local authorities, police, and support services
- Gathering evidence, maintaining accurate case records, and preparing documentation where required
- Supporting legal action where necessary, including court attendance
- Balancing enforcement action with a tenant‑focused, proportionate approach
- Contributing to safer neighbourhoods and positive community outcomes
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working in a community safety, ASB, housing, or enforcement‑related role
- Strong knowledge of ASB processes, case management, and risk assessment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage challenging and sensitive situations
- A proactive, resilient, and solution‑focused approach
- Strong multi‑agency working experience
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
- Good IT and case management system skills
