Summary

Registered Children’s Home Manager
Salary: £50,000 – £57,000 per annum

Home Type: 3-bed Children’s Residential Home

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a well-established 3-bed children’s residential home in Erdington. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong, values-driven leader who is committed to delivering outstanding care and positive outcomes for children and young people.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring it operates in line with Ofsted regulations, company policies, and best practice standards. You will lead, inspire, and develop a dedicated staff team while creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overall leadership and management of the children’s home


  • Achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings


  • Ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for young people


  • Recruiting, developing, and supervising staff teams


  • Managing budgets, rotas, and resources effectively


  • Working in partnership with professionals, families, and external agencies


  • Ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures


    Requirements
    • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children’s Residential) or equivalent


    • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting


    • Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards


    • Proven leadership, organisational, and communication skills


    • A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people
