Apply at UKCIL.com. Reference: 78fb85ea
About Our Family-
We are a friendly, lively household with four boys aged 5–12. The children are sociable, independent, and enjoy helping out — especially in the kitchen. We also have animals, so a love of pets is essential.
Mum has severe ME and type 1 diabetes, so we are looking for a reliable, compassionate Personal Assistant / Family Support Assistant to help keep the household running smoothly, particularly during after-school hours.
The Role-
This role is primarily focused on practical household support and light family assistance rather than childcare or personal care. The right person will be calm, organised, flexible, and comfortable working in a busy family home.
Key Responsibilities-
Preparing a cooked evening meal each day (often with enthusiastic helpers!)
Basic household tasks such as washing, tidying, and light cleaning
Occasional food shopping and household errands
Being present and supportive during after-school hours
Helping maintain a calm, organised home environment
No personal care is required for the children, who are largely self-sufficient.
Hours & Flexibility
15 hours per week on fixed days and times
Some flexibility is essential, as hours may need adjusting if Dad is required to work away
Mainly after school hours, with exact times to be agreed at interview
About You
Kind, reliable, and flexible
Comfortable around children and animals
Confident cooking family meals
Organised and able to work independently
Understanding and respectful of health needs and boundaries
Happy working in a relaxed but busy household
What We Offer
A welcoming, fun family environment
Clear expectations and consistent hours
Opportunity to build a long-term, trusted role within our family
A driving license is essential.
