Are you an experienced SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a rewarding role supporting pupils with diverse needs? We're recruiting dedicated and skilled SEN HLTAs to work across specialist and mainstream SEND provisions in Northampton. ✅ Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver adapted whole-class and small-group sessions in the teacher's absence, using pre-planned SEN-friendly resources.
* Provide targeted 1:1 support for pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and speech & language difficulties.
* Assist with differentiated planning and create engaging, accessible learning activities tailored to EHCP targets.
* Use specialist strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs, and positive behaviour.
* Track and report on progress, contributing to SEND reviews and personalised learning plans.
* Help maintain a nurturing, structured, and inclusive environment that supports all learners.
Essential Requirements:
* HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
* Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN (school, specialist provision, or care background considered).
* Strong understanding of SEND strategies, behaviour support, and differentiated learning.
* Excellent communication skills, patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach.
* Flexibility and confidence working across a range of needs and key stages.
