About the Role:

  • Autism (ASD)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD)
  • Complex needs and communication difficulties
  • Physical disabilities

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering tailored lessons that support individual learning needs
  • Adapting teaching approaches to suit different abilities and EHCP targets
  • Creating a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment
  • Working closely with support staff, therapists, and school leaders
  • Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school‑based or alternative settings)
  • Ability to differentiate effectively and manage diverse needs
  • Strong communication, patience, and resilience
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
