We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Security & Fire Subject Matter Expert to lead the delivery and ongoing development of technical security and fire alarm services across a large-scale account.
This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and robust service delivery across 750 sites and thousands of assets.
You will act as the client-facing authority, managing subcontractor relationships and providing technical governance to senior leadership.
Job Description
The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing service providers within technical fire and security environments, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to condense complex information into clear, concise reports.
While technical knowledge is advantageous, the ability to lead, organise, and maintain compliance is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Manage service delivery from subcontractors (e.g., G4S, PTSG) for technical security and fire alarm systems, ensuring zero downtime.
Act as the primary client-facing authority, building and maintaining confidence with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Oversee and monitor performance of subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
Create, implement, and review the Service Delivery Plan, including emergency response plans and supporting processes.
Filter detailed technical reports into concise summaries for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Lead on the development and continuous improvement of technical security and fire alarm service solutions.
Establish and maintain effective internal and external processes to optimise service efficiency.
Ensure all documentation and compliance requirements are maintained across all service deliverables.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Experience managing service providers within technical fire and security environments.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to condense complex information into clear, actionable insights.
Proven leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently.
Ideally some technical knowledge of security systems and fire alarms.
Commercial awareness and ability to deliver improvements responsibly.
Hold a UK driving licence (travel to Stoke and Birmingham offices once a week).
