Summary

If you enjoy working outside and would like to make a positive contribution to the collection of both waste and recycling, this could be the job for you.


We are seeking a number of people to join our Waste Collection team based at Freighter House, Boreham. Working throughout the Borough you will lead a small crew collecting various household waste from domestic properties. This is a physically demanding role which will also involve repetitive manual handling.


Demonstrating a clear understanding of safe working practices and the relevant legislation associated with driving a HGV/LGV vehicle so that the Council remains compliant with its operator’s licence are essential to being successful in this role.


The possession of a HGV/LGV licence and a current driver CPC card is also an essential requirement for this role.


Successful applicants will be required to work 37 hours over a 4 day week, Tuesday – Friday.
