Summary
Part-Time Self-Employed Housekeeper – Friendly Family Home
We’re looking for a reliable, experienced, self-employed housekeeper to help keep our busy family home running smoothly.
This role is more than basic cleaning and would suit someone who enjoys organisation, spotting what needs doing, and taking pride in a well-run home.
Hours & Pay
3 hours per day
4 weekdays per week (days flexible)
£18 per hour
Self-employed role (you manage your own tax/NI)
The role includes:
Daily tidying and general cleaning
Laundry: washing, drying, folding and putting away
Changing beds and towels
Keeping kitchen, bathrooms and communal areas clean
Emptying bins, washing up and light household tasks
Feeding a friendly cat if she asks for a pouch
All cleaning products and equipment are provided, including specialist products.
About our home
Multi-storey house with lots of stairs (so reasonably physical)
Disabled teenager in the household (no personal care required)
Very friendly dog and cat
Calm, welcoming but busy family environment
We’re looking for someone who:
Is self-employed with the right to work in the UK
Has experience in housekeeping or household support
Is comfortable around people with learning disabilities
Must love animals
Can work independently and plan tasks across the week
Is reliable, proactive and trustworthy
Is happy to complete an Enhanced DBS (required due to a vulnerable person in the home)
