Our client, a reputable and expanding multi-franchise-approved car dealership in Cardiff, is seeking a qualified New Car Sales Executive to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for driven sales professionals to develop their careers within a respected automotive group.
What’s on Offer:
- Basic salary of £19,000 with a company car, or £23,000 without.
- Uncapped OTE, likely exceeding £45,000 annually, based on performance.
- 30 days annual leave, with bank holidays worked compensated with days off in lieu.
- Full manufacturer-accredited training programme.
- Access to a company pension scheme and a Car Buyer Scheme (CBS) for employees and their families after six months.
- Clear career progression within a large, well-established dealer group across South West England and South Wales.
- Working hours: Five days a week, Monday to Saturday, with one Saturday off per month. One in four Mondays will be a late shift starting at 10:30 am.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sell new vehicles spanning various segments, from compact city cars to larger SUVs.
- Promote and assist the sale of add-ons, accessories, finance and insurance products, and extended warranties.
- Maintain regular contact with customers regarding delivery status and manage expectations around potential delays.
- Resolve customer queries and collect payments prior to vehicle handover.
- Explain vehicle warranties, service arrangements, and features, and introduce customers to the Service Department where appropriate.
- Demonstrate vehicle features, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and relationship building.
- Work proactively to identify and maximise sales opportunities related to the New Car Sales Executive role.
Candidate Specification:
- Proven success in vehicle sales or a comparable sales background with a desire to produce results.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships through professionalism and excellent communication.
- A brand-focused approach with the motivation to seek all available sales opportunities.
- Capable of working independently with enthusiasm and energy.
- A valid UK driving licence with minimal points is essential.
- A genuine passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to excellence.
