You will need to be a strong communicator, good team player and interested in innovative approaches to learning and teaching. The successful candidate will have: Understanding of the needs of children with Autism Spectrum ConditionExperience of a range of ways of communicating with children who are non-verbal or are in the early stages of language developmentExperience of planning and delivering learning activitiesUncompromisingly high expectations of themselves and all children and be able to engage children in fun and interesting waysKnowledge of child protection and safeguardingUnderstanding of the behavioural needs of children with ASC and how to adapt and deliver support to meet individual needsStrong interpersonal skillsA positive ‘can do’ attitude and nurturing natureHold Level 2 qualifications as a minimum. The MeadowThe Meadow is a Resource Base supporting 12 pupils ranging from Year 1 to Year 3 who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for a primary need of Autism or Speech Language and Communication. Our priority is to ensure that pupils in The Meadow receive a broad, balanced and rewarding curriculum that gives them the skills and knowledge to excel in life and in their Education. The curriculum has been made in a way which will draw out and give priority to the most crucial aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum to give our children knowledge and the means to reach their full potential and independence. The Trust The Lighthouse Schools Partnership (LSP) is a Multi-Academy Trust which has experienced rapid growth since it started in 2016. There are currently 34 schools in the Trust.
