Grade 11 £25,583 - £25,989 FTE (£17,285 - £17,560 pro-rata) per annum
Stoke Lodge Primary School are looking for a reliable Caretaker to join their team. This position will be 25 hours per week, working 2:00pm to 7:00pm Monday to Friday. The Caretaker will support the safe and efficient running of all aspects of the daily facilities operation at the school. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
• Site security including locking/unlocking the buildings and all site access points according to procedures
• Supervise contractors if on site during your working hours
• Work in a flexible manner for the needs of the children and the school (this may include holiday or sickness cover)
• Under the guidance of the Health, Safety and Premises Compliance Officer, work to a programme of general DIY repairs including planned and preventative maintenance and redecoration
• Occasional grounds maintenance
The successful candidate will possess a range of practical skills in order to contribute to the general site maintenance and improvement works and be fit and able to cope with the physically challenging duties of a Caretaker. They will have excellent organisational/time management skills and be able to work logically, resourcefully, proactively, and efficiently. They will be a confident communicator and enjoy building and maintaining successful, professional relationships with colleagues and external parties as well as having a positive approach to providing excellent customer service.
