Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to join our committed and caring team in providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children in residential care. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on young lives and experienced in caregiving within residential or community settings. Please note, this role does not offer sponsorship.
We currently have a number of residential homes for young people in Cannock, we have many years of experience of nurturing our young people's development as they progress into adulthood. Our young people range from 7-17 with complex needs, autism and behavioural diffculties and the home is suitable for up to 2 young people
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting children with daily activities, ensuring their well-being, enabling them with life skills and fostering a supportive atmosphere conducive to growth and development.
Duties
Provide personal care support, including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing and dressing when required
Administer medication and monitor vital signs as needed under supervision
Support children with behavioral management strategies to promote positive social interactions
Assist with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met and encourage them to engage in meal preparation
Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light cleaning duties
Document care and daily log in line with Ofsted regulations
Support children during outings or community activities, including driving when necessary
Implement care plans tailored to each individual young person
Collaborate with team members, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support now and in the future
Experience in behavioral management and resident support within a residential setting is beneficial for this role, we also require you t
Must be able to commit to a shift pattern which includes long days/sleep shifts on a 2 on 4 off rolling shift basis which includes some weekends and Bank Holidays. You also must hold a full UK driving licence
Salary for the postion will start at £13 per hour plus a £50 sleep bonus which equates to a starting salary of £32,000 per annum with the option of career progression and fully funded training and qualifications moving forward.
