As a Cleaning Operative for GCL Food Ingredients based in Newthorpe, you’ll be joining an industry leader and performing various duties within our ever-growing production facility.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced cleaner to join our growing team, the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various environments, ensuring that all areas are well presented and welcoming in line with the rest of the business.
Main Duties will Involve:
Carry out all cleaning tasks in accordance with the work schedule.
To carry out all tasks with due regard to company specification and all legislation including health and safety and personal hygiene.
To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are used at all times and equipment is kept clean and in good working order.
Perform cleaning tasks in designated areas, including offices, restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces daily.
Follow Health & Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas.
Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standard .
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any issues promptly.
Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.
Experience:
Proven experience in a cleaning or similar role.
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential for effective teamwork and customer interactions
Reliability is a must!!
You should have high attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met.
You should have strong time keeping skills
You should be adaptable and able to help in other parts of the company if required
Comfortable working alone and in a team
Ability to prioritise and manage an ever changing workload
