Summary

A clinic physiotherapist assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients with movement problems using exercises, manual therapy, and equipment like ultrasound; they develop personalized rehab plans, educate patients/carers, keep detailed records, and liaise with other health professionals to improve physical function, manage pain, and promote long-term wellness, often specializing in areas like musculoskeletal Neurological, elderly and sports injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Diagnosis: Evaluate patients' physical conditions, movement limitations, and symptoms through skilled assessment and clinical reasoning to form an accurate diagnosis.
Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, setting goals with patients for recovery and independence.
Treatment Delivery: Apply various techniques, including therapeutic exercises, massage, joint mobilization, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy.
Patient Education: Teach patients and their families how to manage conditions, prevent injury, and perform exercises at home.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and progress notes, adhering to professional standards.
Collaboration: Communicate with doctors, nurses, and other professionals to ensure integrated care and coordinate referrals.
Professional Development: Stay updated on new techniques, participate in audits, and contribute to service development.
Typical Duties:
Consulting with patients to understand their history and challenges.
Organizing and leading physical exercise sessions.
Using high-tech equipment (e.g., ultrasound).
Writing reports and collecting statistics.
Managing clinical risk and caseloads effectively.
