Summary

✏️ SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Longsight
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay Rate: From £102 per day
Start Date: January 2026

We are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in a friendly, inclusive, and vibrant school environment. This role offers the chance to develop your skills, build rewarding relationships, and make a meaningful impact every single day.

About the Role:

· Supporting students with SEN in the classroom, tailoring help to their individual needs

· Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and learning resources

· Providing one-to-one or small group support to help students reach their goals

· Encouraging independence, confidence, and curiosity in every child

· Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where every student feels valued



The Ideal Candidate:

· Previous experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting

· Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills

· Ability to work effectively as part of a team while taking initiative when needed

· A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for helping children learn

Requirements:

· Valid DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check - or willing to apply

· Right to work in the UK

· Be able to provide professional references which cover the last 2 years

· Experience in an educational or childcare setting preferred

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to follow school policies and safeguarding procedures

· Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion
