We’re now looking for an Estate Maintenance Operative (internally known as Estate Caretaker) to join our team on a permanent basis. If you’re practical, proactive, and ready to help maintain safe, welcoming environments for our tenants, we’d love to hear from you.About the role As an Estate Maintenance Operative, you’ll work 36.25 hours per week and will play a vital role in looking after our independent living schemes across South Ribble, Preston, Leyland, and Fylde. Your responsibilities will include: Maintaining communal spaces and housing stock to ensure they’re clean, safe, and well-presented.Carrying out minor repairs and regular fire safety checks.Performing routine inspections of communal areas and completing necessary documentation.Engaging with tenants and providing excellent customer service. You’ll have access to tools, a van, and a fuel card (if required). Full training will be provided - we’re looking for the right person with the right attitude, not necessarily technical expertise.What We Are Looking For To be successful in this role, you should have: A positive, customer-focused approach.Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.Practical skills for cleaning and basic repairs (experience with DIY tools is a plus).A full driving licence and willingness to travel between schemes.Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations (or willingness to learn).
