Summary
Key Responsibilities: Long Term Condition management. Specifically, Asthma, & COPD. Delivering patient care as necessary and referring patients to secondary or specialist care as required Cytology Womens Health and Contraception Childhood Immunisations Vaccinations Swabs, specimens Hypertension, Blood Pressure COPD Wound Management/Removal of sutures and staples ECGs General Health Checks Supporting the GPs and ANPs in patient care, Chaperone procedure Safeguarding Ability to review clinical practices and respond to national policies and initiatives where necessary. Broad knowledge of clinical governance. Clinical audits Ability to work within own scope of practice and understand when to refer to GP's Attending relevant practice meetings including monthly Clinical Governance Meeting. Adheres to all clinical governance standards, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective care in accordance with clinical based evidence, NICE and the NSF To ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies, ensuring safe working practices To maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with legislation To support the clinical team with safeguarding matters in accordance with local and national policies To understand practice and local policies, and help to draft and implement policy where required To use excellent communication in all communications with patients consistent with their level of understanding Contribute to a culture that improves quality, and takes appropriate action when required to ensure that quality is maintained across the nursing team Contribute to a supportive working environment for the benefit of the practice team and patients, which promote both the profession and the Partnership SystmOne including Ardens templates.
