You will manage a wide range of commercial property matters, working closely with clients and internal teams, handling everything from leasehold and freehold acquisitions to drafting and negotiating complex documentation. Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a diverse range of client files including leasehold and freehold acquisitions, deeds of variation, assignments, licences, and other commercial property matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate documentation, working closely with clients, surveyors, and external lawyers to ensure smooth transaction progress.
• Conduct thorough investigations of registered and unregistered titles, advising on potential risks and remedies to protect client interests.
• Oversee completions and handle post-completion matters such as Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) and Land Registry applications.
• Maintain compliance with client-specific processes, including file management, reporting, and milestone tracking.
• Build and sustain strong working relationships with client personnel through regular meetings and effective communication.
• Support additional activities such as delivering training sessions, attending marketing events, and participating in project work as required.
A detailed job specification is available upon registration/application.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
• Commercial Property Solicitor – 1 years PQE +
• Proven experience in general commercial property matters, including landlord and tenant law, commercial leases, and lease renewals.
• Solid understanding of property finance work is highly desirable.
• Commercially aware with practical and financial insight to support client needs effectively.
• Confident communicator, capable of engaging with senior clients and stakeholders.
• Strong academic background combined with a clear ambition for career progression.
• Excellent interpersonal and marketing skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional contacts to benefit the team and firm.
• A true team player who thrives in a busy, collaborative environment.
• Skilled negotiator with the organisational ability to manage multiple files efficiently.
• Varied experience within commercial property is advantageous but not essential.
Due to the high volume of applications, we may not respond to every submission immediately. However, if your skills and experience match this role or any other current vacancies, you can expect to hear from us within 24 to 48 hours. We encourage you to apply for any other opportunities that align with your interests and qualifications.
