Location: Brentford, TW8
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

About the Role
VD Recruitment has partnered with a well-established nursery in West London to recruit a passionate and experienced Baby Room Practitioner for their brand-new setting.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join from the very beginning, helping to shape the nursery’s culture, routines, and high standards of care. Your ideas and experience will play a key role in creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where children, families, and staff can thrive.

You will work confidently within a small baby room (maximum 9 babies), supporting the daily running of the room and maintaining excellent standards of care and education. As the nursery grows, so will opportunities for training, development, and career progression.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the day-to-day running of the baby room
• Provide high-quality care in line with EYFS standards
• Contribute ideas to support children’s development and wellbeing
• Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment

Essential Requirements
• Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification OR
• Level 2 qualification with a minimum of 1 year baby room experience
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework (Montessori experience is a plus)
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Experience with play-based learning approaches
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Friendly, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and supporting children and families
• Motivation to progress into more senior roles
• Willingness to undertake further training

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
