Summary
We are looking for an organised, proactive individual with strong people skills to support the delivery of our Employability Programme for young people in Bristol.
The programme supports 16–25-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) through skills workshops, 1:1 mentoring and work experience.
Ablaze is a small, independent charity tackling inequality of opportunity for young people across the West of England. You will work closely with an experienced team to help deliver a programme that has already supported three cohorts over the past two years to support up to15 young people during workshops and placements, acting as their first point of contact. * During March the contract will be 18 hours per week, working Monday, Tuesday plus 1 other day. During April & May the hours will reduce to 12 hours per week, with a flexible, hybrid working pattern.
Term-time only option considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Project Manager across recruitment, delivery, and work placement phases of the programme.
- Coordinate the young people to attend each workshop and maintaining communication with them over phone/email/WhatsApp, in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare workshop materials and set up the workshop spaces.
- Monitor attendance, record expenses and update project records.
- Assist the Project Manager with workshop observations, evaluations and reporting
- Contribute to creation of social media content.
- Liaise with the young people and mentors to support their mentoring sessions.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Confident using IT (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Excel)
- Positive attitude and ability to build rapport with young people
- Able to escalate issues appropriately
- Flexible approach to work
- Ability to work from the Bristol Office on a Monday and Tuesday
Desirable:
- Experience or interest in working with young people
- Administrative experience
- Driving license and access to a vehicle
