Summary
We are seeking a highly professional Compliance Manager to lead Health and Safety and estates regulation for our academy cluster in Central Kent. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Compliance, you will ensure our infrastructure services are delivered to the highest standards, directly supporting our mission to provide exceptional educational environments.
As a key member of our Trust-wide compliance team, you will take ownership of the statutory framework within your region. This involves overseeing all aspects of Health and Safety, including chairing Academy H&S Committees, managing fire safety protocols, and conducting proportionate accident investigations in line with RIDDOR. You will be responsible for the rigorous monitoring of essential compliance areas such as asbestos management, legionella checks, and gas safety, ensuring all actions are tracked via our CAFM system and resolved within agreed timeframes.
The successful candidate will act as a specialist advisor to Principals and infrastructure staff, providing expert guidance on risk assessments, emergency planning, and local policy implementation. Your remit will also extend to operational oversight, including the management of the academy minibus fleet, processing insurance claims, and driving the Trust’s environmental and sustainability initiatives.
We require an individual with a robust background in H&S and estates management who possesses a deep understanding of current UK legislation. You must be a collaborative communicator capable of building effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and external contractors.
