Summary
We are recruiting for a Chef to join our Catering team at our Outstanding CQC rated hospice in Bradford. Salary: Marie Curie Pay Scale, aligned with AFC Band 3 £24,937 and £26,598 per annum + enhancements Hours/Contract: Full Time 37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday shifts are between 07:30 am - 15:30 pm and 10:00 am - 18:00 pm. Weekends and bank holidays are between 07.30 am - 15.30 pm Contract Type: 12 months - Fixed Term Based: Bradford Hospice Closing date: 16th January 2026 Interview date: TBC This is a hands-on role, where you will be required to demonstrate strong practical, imaginative and creative cooking skills. You will be well organised, flexible and pro-active in your approach to work. Excellent communication and customer service skills are also a must, together with the ability to self-motivate and manage your time effectively. You will have fantastic interpersonal skills together with exceptional levels of integrity and self-awareness. You will also be responsible for assisting the Head Chef with the adequate supervision if the Catering Assistants, producing staff rotas and assisting with the recruitment of junior staff, selecting approved suppliers and ordering. What were looking for: City & Guilds 706/1, 706/2, or a Level 2 NVQ in Food Production and Cooking, or an equivalent qualification.
