As a key member of our team, you will ensure the ongoing safety and well-being of our workforce, support regulatory compliance, and help maintain a strong safety culture across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and managing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) for projects and tasks.
• Track and update training records, certifications, and competency matrices for all staff.
• Assist in accident, incident, and near-miss reporting and investigations to identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate health & safety inductions for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors, ensuring all safety protocols are communicated effectively.

• Collaborate with site managers, supervisors, and external safety consultants to address health and safety matters and maintain a safe working environment.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a health & safety or administrative role (experience within construction / manufacturing is preferred).
• Experience of using hand tools on previous jobs
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Solid understanding of health & safety regulations, particularly within construction, manufacturing, or structural steel environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and document control systems.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively.

Desirable Qualifications:

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (or willingness to work towards).
• Prior experience within structural steel, construction, or engineering environments is highly advantageous.

What We Offer:

• Flexible part-time hours with potential to transition to full-time employment as the business expands.
• Support for ongoing training and professional development.
• An opportunity to grow within a well-established, dynamic structural steel company.
