The RoleAre you passionate about supporting teenagers in their academic journey? We are looking for an enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team in West Sussex.
In this role, you will be a vital part of the school community, providing targeted academic and emotional support to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (ages 11-16). You will work across various departments-from English and Maths to Creative Arts-ensuring that every student, regardless of their starting point, can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities-
Subject Support: Providing in-class assistance across different departments to help students grasp complex concepts.

Small-Group Intervention: Leading focused "booster" sessions to reinforce learning, particularly in literacy, numeracy, and exam revision.

Inclusion: Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping to adapt resources to meet their specific requirements.

Classroom Environment: Assisting the lead teacher with resource management and maintaining a positive, focused atmosphere for learning.

Mentoring: Acting as a positive role model for young people, helping them develop organisational skills and academic confidence.

We are looking for reliable and academically capable individuals who:

Hold strong GCSEs (English and Maths are essential) and preferably A-Level qualifications.

Have experience or a genuine interest in working with young people (ages 11-16).

Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with teenagers.

Are adaptable, resilient, and confident in managing classroom behaviour professionally.

Are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
