Summary
This is an exciting time of transformation and improvement in the pharmacy team at Kingston Hospital.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Chief Pharmacy Technician to lead and further develop our dispensary services.
Both the Pharmacy Department and the Trust have a long-standing reputation for being a friendly and rewarding place to work with a can-do attitude. The Pharmacy provides a high quality, patient focused, medicines optimisation service and has an excellent reputation within the Trust.
You will be a member of the Pharmacy Senior Management Team and work closely with the Clinical Lead Dispensary Pharmacist and the other Chief & Senior Technicians to develop a service that is ‘fit for the future’.

• To manage the provision of high-quality dispensary services which is responsive to patient and customer needs in line with Trust objectives.
• To manage and develop the roles of the dispensary Technicians and Assistants.
• To ensure the dispensary’s compliance with best practice and medicines legislation.
• To ensure the management of controlled drugs in the Dispensary.
• To deliver and develop dispensary services to promote the safe, effective and economic use of medicines in line with National, Trust and pharmacy objectives.
• To manage workload and turnaround times including discharge prescriptions.
