Summary


A opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic substantive part-time Specialty Doctor Post within Oral Services, Maxillo-Facial Department at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.



Our Oral Services dept. which is provided by a dedicated multidisciplinary team of medical consultants, a hygienist, a medical photographer, dental radiographers and a team of specialist dental nurses with advanced scope of practices experience in the treatment of acute dental conditions. The department benefits from a full range of diagnostic imaging and pathology support services; and have close links with the regional teaching hospitals.



The successful candidate must be registered with the GDC with a valid license to practice in line with the introduction of revalidation on 16 November 2009.



Kingston Hospital is a busy, flourishing hospital which has been awarded Foundation Trust status from 1st May 2013. With 550 beds, the Trust is located in an attractive part of Surrey within easy reach of Central London and open country. A recently opened £22 million development includes new surgical wards, a medical assessment unit and an education and training centre. The postholder will provide support to the Maxillo-Facial team within Kingston Hospital and will share clinical responsibilities with professional colleagues within the department.

The postholder will be expected to work with clinical colleagues and local managers in providing a safe, efficient and effective service for Kingston Hospital. This will include the review of inpatients, provision of outpatient clinics and undertaken of minor operating lists.

The appointee will be expected to support postgraduate teaching and training. Research is encouraged and full facilities are available.
