The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support students with SEND in and out of the classroom, ensuring access to learning.
• Work under the guidance of teaching staff to deliver support programmes.
• Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour.
• Provide feedback to teachers and parents on student progress.
• Assist with supervision during non-lesson times and accompany students on trips.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
• Experience working with children of relevant age or learning needs.
• Basic literacy and numeracy (GCSE grade C or above).
• Ability to use ICT to support learning.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable:
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Willingness to undertake further training and basic first aid.
• Knowledge of child development and SEND support strategies.
