Summary

Job Title: Operations Manager

Salary: Dependant on experience

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimise day-to-day operational performance. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations across production, warehousing, and logistics functions, while driving continuous improvement and supporting business objectives.

This role is a very hands on, proactive position that operates within a fast-paced manufacturing operational environment.

Day to day duties and responsibilities:
. Lead and manage operational activities to ensure service, quality, cost, and delivery targets are achieved.
. Oversee production, warehousing, and logistics functions, ensuring effective coordination and performance.
. Develop and implement operational plans aligned with business strategy and customer demand.
. Monitor operational KPIs, analysing performance and implementing corrective actions where required.
. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost control.
. Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards across all operations.
. Lead, motivate, and develop operational teams, promoting a culture of accountability and high performance.
. Manage resource planning, capacity, and workflow to meet operational requirements.
. Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
. Work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to support business growth and improvement initiatives.

Skills and experience required:
. Proven experience in an Operations Manager or senior operational l eadership role within a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.
. Strong understanding of operational processes, supply chain, and performance management.
. Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
. Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain effective under pressure.
. Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
. Degree or equivalent qualification in operations, manufacturing, engineering, or a related discipline is desirable.
. Relevant professional or leadership qualifications are advantageous
