Production Operatives
Location: On behalf of our client
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Knaresborough, please note own transport is required due to the location
Swift Temps Ltd is recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of our client, one of Europe’s leading specialist growers and importers, supplying high-quality plants to garden retailers and landscapers across the region.
Our client produces crops across a variety of growing environments, including glasshouses, polytunnels, and outdoor growing beds. They specialise in the cultivation and supply of spring, summer, and autumn plant ranges for the garden retail market.
Key Responsibilities
As a Production Operative, your duties will include:
• Operating potting and transplanting machines
• Planting hanging baskets
• Boxing and labelling plants
• Packing orders and preparing plants for dispatch on trolleys
• Cleaning production areas in preparation for new stock
• Moving stock across the site between growing zones using Danish trolleys
Role Requirements
• This is a physically demanding role and applicants must be comfortable with manual work
• The position involves outdoor work in all weather conditions
• Ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on, active work in an outdoor environment
