Sales & Projects Coordinator
Location: Hertfordshire (office-based initially, with hybrid working once trained)
Hours: Flexible – Full-time or part-time (pro rata) considered
Salary: £30,000 basic (pro rata for part-time) + uncapped commission
Realistic OTE: £45,000+ (full-time equivalent)
Doors of Steel is a fast-growing national supplier of bespoke internal steel and glass doors and partitions, working on high-end residential and commercial projects across the UK.
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive Sales & Projects Coordinator to manage inbound enquiries, develop new business opportunities, and oversee projects from first enquiry through to installation.
This is a varied, hands-on role offering genuine progression, with the potential to move into a management position as the business continues to grow.
The Role
You will manage the full sales and project lifecycle, including:
Sales & Business Development
• Managing inbound enquiries via phone, email, and CRM
• Proactively developing new opportunities through outreach to architects, interior designers, contractors, and developers
• Preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations
• Following up on quotations and nurturing leads through to conversion
• Building and maintaining strong client and professional relationships
Project & Order Management
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients once a sale is secured
• Coordinating with the CAD designer to ensure specifications are accurate and aligned with client requirements
• Cross-checking drawings and specifications prior to submission
• Managing drawing approval with clients
• Coordinating deliveries and logistics
• Booking installations and liaising with installation teams
• Managing multiple live projects simultaneously through careful planning and organisation
This role requires excellent attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to stay on top of multiple orders at different stages.
About You
You will ideally:
• Have experience in sales, project coordination, or a similar role (experience in construction, interiors, glazing, or bespoke manufacturing is an advantage but not essential)
• Be confident using IT systems and CRM software
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be highly organised, methodical, and detail-focused
• Be able to take initiative, problem-solve independently, and take responsibility for your work
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and contributing ideas for improvement
This role is not suited to someone who prefers narrowly defined tasks or minimal responsibility.
Training & Support
Full product, systems, and process training will be provided. You will be supported closely while you learn the role, with a structured handover and ongoing guidance to help you build confidence and succeed.
What We Offer
• Competitive basic salary (£30,000 pro rata) plus uncapped commission
• Flexible working hours, with part-time or full-time options available
• Office-based role initially, with scope for hybrid working once fully trained
• Clear progression opportunities as the business grows
• A supportive, collaborative, and caring team environment where your contribution genuinely matters
