Want to use your teaching skills to make a real difference in people’s lives? Ready to grow your expertise while helping others build theirs?
At Westway Trust, your work will go beyond the classroom. You’ll support adult learners in North Kensington—many from underrepresented or migrant backgrounds—to gain vital skills and qualifications in Health and Social Care. You’ll see first-hand how your guidance opens doors to new jobs, confidence, and brighter futures.
The role
As a Health & Social Care Tutor, you’ll do more than just teach. You’ll build strong connections with learners, adapting your sessions to meet their needs, experiences and ambitions. You’ll guide them through the Level 1 Award, helping them stay motivated and on track.
What makes this role special? You’ll be part of a warm, community-led team focused on inclusion and empowerment. Teaching takes place in local venues, keeping you close to the heart of the community you’re helping.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, practical sessions that bring Health and Social Care to life
Use diagnostic tools to understand learners' starting points and personalise support
Plan structured, creative lessons that keep learners involved and progressing
Meet regularly with learners to track goals and offer encouragement
Guide learners through assessments, helping them build confidence and succeed
Keep clear, accurate records that help you and your learners stay on track
Share ideas and improve your teaching by joining in moderation, reviews, and training
Stay connected with the wider team and share in a collective mission to support local learning
About our company

Our Adult Learning team works with people from all walks of life, supporting them to achieve their goals. If you believe learning should be open and accessible to all, you’ll feel at home here.
The Benefits
Free gym membership next to the office
Pension scheme, life assurance, and sick pay
The person
We’re looking for someone who:
Holds a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or has equivalent experience)
Has a teaching qualification or is happy to work towards one
Has experience working with adult learners from a variety of backgrounds
Understands how to track progress and adapt lessons for different needs
Communicates clearly and works well with others
Is flexible, reliable and comfortable teaching in different local settings
