Summary

Home Office Digital, Data and Technology designs, builds and develops services for the rest of the department and for government. Every year our systems support up to 3 million visa applications, checks on 100 million border crossings, up to 8 million passport applications and deliver 140 million police checks on people, vehicles and property.

The Senior Digital Adoption Manager plays a key role within our Digital Adoption Team, supporting organisation-wide adoption of digital tools and technologies (e.g. Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and end-user devices) Through campaigns, promotions, clear communication, education, training and hands-on support, you’ll help embed these tools and modern ways of working to increase digital adoption across the organisation.

You will use your deep knowledge and experience to ensure the full realisation of digital benefits. As part of the team bridging the “digital gap” between executive vision and user experience, you’ll provide support to make sure business objectives and product outcomes are aligned and set up for success.

This is a challenging and fast-paced role, positioned at the heart of a dynamic and changing area of Home Office Digital. You will have the opportunity to work within a collaborative team on several high-profile workstreams.

As a Senior Digital Adoption Manager, you will work collaboratively with strategic partners and stakeholders to look for opportunities to exploit existing digital tools to help solve current and future business problems and increase the return on investment. You will provide expert advice to assist business areas to work through the implications and options available. As part of the adoption approach, you will engage with the organisation-wide Digital Champions network.

You will keep up to date with the latest developments in the digital workplace technologies and change methodologies, including knowledge, best practice and innovations from the cross- government digital adoption community of experts. You will have access to relevant training and development opportunities to support you in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Your main day to day responsibilities will be:

  • Creating required Digital Adoption products, leading engagement with key contacts, and ensuring products are fit for purpose for the organisation.
  • Working with the team and senior managers to create and maintain communications plans, including Digital Adoption messaging, and providing content for communications.
  • Identifying and classifying stakeholders, ensuring their inclusion in stakeholder engagement plans, and acting as the point of contact for a large group, and senior stakeholders.
  • Designing and delivering business process and operating model improvements using Microsoft tools and technologies (e.g. Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Dynamics 365) and end-user devices, driving alignment and efficiency while utilising best practice and innovation.
  • Providing project colleagues with Digital Adoption support and guidance.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of Digital Adoption materials and communications, iterating when needed to ensure they meet the needs of the audience and stakeholders.

You will also be expected to carry out the following day to day activities:

  • Undertaking appropriate training for the role and seeking to constantly improve performance through personal development.

Working Patterns:

This role is available on a full-time basis with the option of compressed hours working.

Travel:

Travel within the UK, including occasional overnight stays, will be required. All related costs will be reimbursed in line with Home Office policy.
