Summary
Mechanical Fitter – Birkenhead (PAYE Only)
Due to the award of new contracts, our client based in Birkenhead is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Fitter to work across several ongoing projects.
This role would suit a time-served Mechanical Fitter with proven experience working on large, heavy industrial machinery. The position involves a mix of planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown work in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
Mechanical fitting and maintenance on heavy industrial equipment
Planned and reactive maintenance activities
Fault finding, repair, and replacement of mechanical components
Working safely in line with site procedures and H&S regulations
Candidate Requirements
Time-served Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent experience)
Strong background in heavy industrial machinery
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Hours of Work
Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
Friday: 08:00 – 14:00
Pay & Benefits
PAYE only (role is inside IR35)
Overtime paid at time and a half (weekdays)
Double time on Sundays
Weekly pay
Contributory pension scheme
Holiday entitlement:
25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
Accrued hourly
