About the Job

You'll have an important part to play as a reliable and highly skilled HIAB Driver within our transport team. You will be
responsible for the safe delivery and collection of supplies to and from various customer and site locations. This role requires
precision in operating the lorry-mounted crane and strict adherence to all safety and transport regulations.

Here at Unipart we don’t just have a way of working, we have The Unipart Way. It allows everyone in our team to pursue their own
personal and professional goals to a world class level, through Unipart's ‘From Gate to Great’ training and development program.

As a HIAB Driver/Stores Person you’ll also operate within the warehouse, driving MHE, accepting deliveries and putting inventory
away.

As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:

* Safely drive and operate Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV Class 1 or Class 2) to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws, EU
Drivers' Hours rules, and the Working Time Directive
* Safely and efficiently operate the lorry-mounted crane (via remote or manual control) to load and unload cargo, such as
building materials, steel products, plant machinery, or modular buildings
* Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and crane inspections. Ensure all loads are secured properly before transport and
all activities comply with safety regulations
* Accurately complete all necessary delivery paperwork, logs, and timesheets, including route details and cargo documentation
* Operate the Warehouse Management System
* Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients and team members, positively representing the company
* Report any vehicle or crane defects and perform routine operator maintenance, such as checking oil levels or tire pressure
* Be prepared for varied working conditions (e.g. outdoor work, different sites) and potential overtime or outside of core hours
standby, depending on the job requirements. Note that some roles may involve winter gritting duties or assisting in the
yard/workshop when not driving

About You

We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this
role!

Essential

* Valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Class 1 (Category C+E) or Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
* Valid HIAB (Lorry Loader) certification, typically an ALLMI or equivalent (e.g., ITSSAR, CPCS) certificate, with the relevant
attachments (hook, brick grab, etc.)
* Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification and a Digital Tachograph card
* Previous commercial driving and crane operating experience
* Strong focus on health and safety
* Excellent time management and communication skills
