We are seeking a dedicated Male Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Salford, supporting secondary-aged boys who benefit from positive male role models. The school is committed to inclusion, resilience and personalised learning, providing a safe, supportive environment where young people can re-engage with education, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.
About the Role
As a Male Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide behaviour management support to KS3 and KS4 pupils

Deliver support across Maths, English, and Science (Biology) lessons
-
Act as a role model for young male students, inspiring engagement and motivation

Support pupils in classroom and outdoor settings, encouraging participation in learning and sports activities

Attend multiple sites across Salford, supporting pupils in a variety of environments
-
Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to implement individualised learning strategies

Assist in monitoring progress, recording behaviour and providing feedback
-
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Requirements
-
Experience in a school setting (PRU experience not essential)

Strong behaviour management skills

KS3/KS4 curriculum knowledge in Maths, English, Science

Interest in sports and/or arts; able to engage pupils in one of those activities

Must drive and have a valid UK driving licence

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and build strong relationships with pupils

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 08:30 - 15:00

Tuesday: 08:30 - 15:30
