As an employee of the Trust, you will work in close co-operation with all departments and other medical, professional and managerial colleagues to provide high quality healthcare to the Trust’s patients.
Middle grade medical personnel work on a shift system but have a nominated consultant. Wherever possible the timetable aims to provide continuity of middle grade medical staff, although there may be occasions where the On-Take commitment and the junior doctor’s requirement lead to alternative arrangements.
Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and well being of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.
We aim to make the most of our skills and experiences so we can become the best we can be. As one organisation we will recruit the finest and retain more specialist staff due to more employment opportunities across our Trust.
Please refer to attached Job Description but will include:
• The Doctor will be expected to show qualities of leadership but also to know their limitations and call for help and advice appropriately
• Liaise between nurses, other junior doctors, patients, relatives and senior medical staff
• Attend and participate in ward rounds and operating theatre sessions as timetable
• Attend general and specialist out-patient, diagnostic and pre-assessment clinics
